With your help, we can continue to fund our projects and keep returning steam to the Avon Valley.
The Avon Valley Railway Heritage Trust is the registered charity (number 1088545) with overall responsibility for the running of the railway. Its primary aim is to ‘restore, preserve and operate railway locomotives, carriages, wagons and other artefacts of historic interest’.
As a charity we rely on income received by our visitors to the railway, whether through purchasing a ticket to travel on our trains, a cup of tea or meal in our station Buffet or a souvenir from our gift shop. However, the Heritage Trust also manages several appeals for the restoration of locomotives and carriages as well as our longer-term ambition to increase the length of line towards Bath.
Without such generous support we would not be able to complete the work we so desperately need to do to bring some of our steam engines back to life and into daily service on our railway.
