BR 0-6-0 Diesel Electric D3462 (TOPS no.08377) is a Class 08 Shunting Locomotive. Built at Darlington in 1957, it spent its working life on the Southern, London Midland and Western Regions of British Railways.
With the increased use of air brakes on British Rail and the loco only having vacuum brakes, the loco was withdrawn and stored at Laira depot in Plymouth in 1983.
It was acquired for preservation by the West Somerset Railway and moved to the Watercress Line (Mid Hants Railway) in 2013.
D3462/08377 is on loan to us from the Watercress Line for the Summer.
